Taxibe (pronounced Taxibé) is an application grouping in the same application the possibility of using the public transport network of the city of Antananarivo which is the capital of Madagascar, to use the famous "bush taxis" to cross the provinces Malagasy and finally to use individual taxis (called "pikla") for personal journeys.
Regarding the use of buses in the city of Antananarivo, it is possible to:
- Display the list of all bus lines in the capital (more than 180 bus lines)
- Search from a list of place (or neighborhood) a route (departure and arrival) with indication of the price of the ticket and an estimate of time (when there are not too many traffic jams)
- Display on a map the chosen route and selection of the bus line when there are several
The list of Taxibé lines is constantly updated so that the application is as complete as possible.
Regarding the use of Bush Taxis, it is possible to:
- Search the best way to go in the 5 provinces of Madagascar - Tamatave, Diego Suarez, Majunga, Fianarantsoa, Tulear (day or night trip),
- View on a map the selected route from the capital
- View the list of cooperatives serving these provinces, contact them directly from your smartphone or send them an SMS
- Show on a map, the bus station from which you leave
- View an estimate of the ticket price for the selected trip.
The individual taxi call feature is not yet supported in this release but will be integrated soon.
